I'm back!
Wow - it seems like I was M.I.A for awhile! I was so busy trying to get things ready for my first craft show, that I guess I neglected my blog! That is changing tonight!
The craft show was a success and I will be doing more in the future! I was so nervous before hand because I just didn't know what to expect. Would anyone like my jewelry? Did I have enough items to even be in a craft show? Was my display a good idea, or would people look at it and think "hmmmm". Well I found out that I worried for nothing! People loved my jewelry and I got many comments on my booth display!
I had a lot of fun visiting with people and telling them why I do what I do! It was so fun listening to people say "oh, Grandma had earrings like this!" Or "I remember my mom wearing this kind of jewelry", etc etc. I also found that I really don't seem to have a "target" market. I sold jewelry to all ages!!
There are some things that I will be doing different for my future shows. I had NO idea what size tables they were supplying us. We brought two table cloths, thinking that we would have two 5 foot tables. Wrong...we had one 8 foot table! So yes, we had to use 2 different table coths on one table! We had to do what we had to do! I will be going to a fabric store soon to find some fabric to use as table coverings. I also will be bringing my own chair and it will be stool height. I stood almost the whole time because if I sat down, I was hidden behind my display. Because I stood most of the time, my back and feet hurt SO BAD! So yes, a bar stool type chair for sure will be coming with me from now on!
Here are some photos of my display. My friend Sue shared the booth with me. She made Christmas ornaments and also did very well at the show!
